Sean Housel
Sean Housel is a local Utahn born and raised, and a Real Estate Professional based in the rapidly growing Draper metro area. Raised alongside his four siblings in Murray, Utah, Sean grew up in an active family that loved the outdoors. He grew up skiing and played multiple sports including baseball, basketball and football. Today he still has a deep passion for the outdoors, fly-fishing and snowboarding (a sport he took up when his children were teens) whenever he can in the beautiful, iconic mountains of Utah.
Sean attended the University of Utah where he received his degree in Communications with a focus on Economics. After graduating, he started his career in sales, beginning at Cellular One (back when a sturdy brick phone was the hottest thing going). Learning the ins and outs of the sales industry quickly led Sean to find his niche and he was hooked. He would go on to work with several tech companies where he managed and directed sales teams, finding his passion for helping people and companies create solutions to their problems. Whether running a start-up company or directing channel sales at a Fortune 500, Sean found success throughout his sales career by focusing on the needs of his customers and employees.
This passion for helping others along with his extensive past experience in sales has translated into success in real estate for Sean. In the fall of 2021, he joined Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, drawn to their long-standing reputation as Utah’s only full-service brokerage offering a truly global network with a worldwide reach. Sean loves helping his clients buy and sell their properties while getting to know them and their families in the process. Now, being backed by the support of Summit Sotheby’s in-house teams in marketing and advertising, transaction management, legal, accounting and even professional photography and video, Sean is able to put his entire focus into offering a luxury real estate experience for every client and property he takes on.
Sean believes in open communication throughout the real estate process, knowing that integrity, honesty, and commitment are the most important aspects of any relationship – business or personal. Helping other families to plan, prepare, negotiate and finally sell (or buy) their most important asset – while acting as their guide throughout the process – is his ultimate goal.
Outside of the real estate industry, Sean is married to his beautiful wife Vanessa and they have six children and seven beautiful grandchildren who they love spending time with whenever they can. Sean and his wife also volunteer as Addiction Recovery Facilitators in their free time, and Sean is currently working towards becoming a certified grief coach, to help families struggling with the recent loss of a loved one. Sean loves the great Utah outdoors for its many opportunities to fish, backpack, hike and camp, and can’t wait to show you why Utah is such a wonderful place to live, work and play.
